Andrew Frank is a producer, writer and director. Currently, he is producing Lombardi, a new american play, opening on Broadway in the fall of 2010. His writing and directing work has been seen at numerous theaters in New York and regionally including; Dodger Stages, The Duke Theatre on 42nd St, The Berkshire Theatre Festival and Glimmerglass Opera. Andrew's writing credits include The Greenwich Village Follies, a historical musical revue, Sidd a musical based on the Hermann Hesse Novel, and two highly acclaimed dance/theatre pieces Isadora . . . No Apologies and In Search of a Goddess. Some directing highlights include: Sidd, Three Sisters (also adapted) , Voyzeck (also adapted) , The Marriage of Figaro (Mozart), Turn of the Screw (Britten), I do I do , I Hate Hamlet, Romance/Romance, Theatre of the Film Noir, Five Women Waiting, The Little Years, Body and Soul, King Gordogan, WWOW Radio, Night of the Twentieth (in Tel Aviv, Israel) and Mark Lamos' Paul Bunyon(Brittan) at New York City Opera. Andrew is the Founding Artistic Director of Manhattan Theatre Source and an alumni of the BMI musical theatre workshop. Andrew is also the Director of the Cultural Institution's Unit at the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs. |
